We all went down to watch Nano's grading at SPANS. 2nd time grading and according to Trevor, much better behaved. He has passed his grading and I've added the gold tip to his red belt. We don't expect him to grade again until June/July next year.

First Aikido Grading
After a whole year, Nano went for his first grading. Prior to that, Dada was drilling him on the movements, irimi-tenkan and tenkan and also the techniques that were to be tested. He had done well at home, practising with Dada. As things would be, he was partnered with an uke who had no "spirit" in him and certainly spoilt things for Nano. Thankfully, he passed and we hope this would spur him on to concentrate in class and aim for the next grade.
We are very proud of his achievement especially since both of us are Aikidokas as well. :-)
